Well, I have a few days to catch up on and a lot to talk about!

I set off to Dallas Sunday morning, and the first step is the ferry off the island! This is just a short ferry but it is such a nice view and if you get out of the car you can usually see the dolphins swimming around and Pelican's flying all around! Again with the heat, as soon as you get on the ferry you have to turn the car engine off which means, no air con! Hot Hot Hot!

Driving off the island makes me realise just how beautiful and unique it really is!

Today is Tuesday, I arrived in Dallas late Sunday night and the drive here was a long 7 hours but there was a lot to see! After a few hours I began to notice that there was more church's than houses, every 5 minutes or less there was a different type of church it's strange to see really. I always knew that a lot of Americans' were religious but I didn't realise to what extent really. It's crazy seeing all the different religion based things that you never really notice before.

As the journey went on I began to see all sorts of different sights, all the old towns in Texas are amazing, although I began to realise why most horror films that you watch are set in Texas. There is so many abandoned houses and ranches and different things. A lot of old, run down houses with a porch swing out the front and different creepy, old style houses!
I love looking at all the old, vintage cars on the road sides, there are so many here, all rusty and un-wanted but still so nice!

We passed a few old Cowboy towns that I am always amazed by, the buildings are so different like something you would think you would only see on films it's amazing really.

Some of the buildings really me of old cowboy and western films too which is what I really like about them.

As I go along all these different journey's I am trying to remember to take as many photographs as possible, because I have been here so many times now, not much of it is new to me. But I know for someone that hasn't been anywhere like this then these photos will hopefully be interesting to them.

I took a few more random photos in the middle of the journey when we went through different towns too. All of these little towns are so different too, because some of them are very wealthy areas, and others are so poor and run down and it is amazing to see the difference in the land and the buildings/houses.

On the way to Dallas, my Dad was telling me different stories of around Texas and one that I found interesting was that he was saying that a lot of towns in the area are 'dry towns' where you can't buy alcohol in that specific town, and most people in that town will not drink it. So for the few that do, they have to drive so far out of town until they find a place that does sell it. I think it is a majority vote to become a dry town too. I thought this was really interesting and I hadn't heard of anything like this back home.

Here are a few more photos that I took along the way.

Finally after 7 long hours we were finally approaching the city of Dallas, after being delayed in the horrible storms we had finally arrived.

As we were sat in traffic this huge black cloud came over us and we were looking all around a bit worried really because of course with my bad luck, the night before I flew it came on the news about the awful tornados in Dallas. Just my luck!

The bad weather soon passed over and then we could finally see the Dallas skyline in the distance.

Just a sneak peak at my brilliant photography skills of the skyline as we were driving!

Dallas here I am!
